I have done corporate event photography for nearly 20 years, but I’ve never been enlisted to offer a headshot booth at a conference before. This past fall, a longtime client asked me to add this to my usual event coverage and I figured I would give it a shot! I gave myself a crash course by watching tons of YT videos and did my best with the gear I had, which was a collapsible backdrop, a circular reflector, and a speedlite with a shoot-thru umbrella. I couldn’t get much more complicated than that given the tiny space they gave me next to the escalator and the fact that I had to frequently switch back to event coverage mode. I ended up having almost 80 conference attendees take advantage of the opportunity. For my maiden voyage, I felt I did pretty well to deliver around a dozen images per individual and it was all consistent.

Engaging and real. I might have removed the badge for these purposes, and maybe fixed the awkward shoulder fabric. Otherwise, well done.
