Every month from here on in I'll be doing a contest for the best headshot on the planet.

Winner each month gets to spend 2 full days of their choice hangin, shabang'in with me in the NY studio. You'll be immersed full bore into the Peter Hurley philosophy of portraiture and afterwards you'll earn your PhD(Peter Hurley Direction) in photography! Including a badge of honor on Headshot Crew by being labeled as a PhD.

That is not how I read it. I read it that he wants your best, regardless of when it was shot. But you can only enter it once.

I see this as a great way to get feedback on one of your favorite shots that you might not have had ready for HOTW, or a shot taken the same week as when you won HOTW but you had a second person that you really liked too. For me that means putting in the little brother that won HOTW, and next month, the older brother unless I shoot something better in the meantime.

But I could be wrong.

If we are really up against Associates (and even Mentors), then this could be a real struggle. Not impossible, just a greater level of difficulty. But I love a good challenge or I wouldn't be here.

This is of myself taken with my trusty clicker and Nikon d750 (and some running back and forth lol) :) I used 2 soft boxes- no idea what I was doing but I can't wait to learn!!!
