For the larger giveaways what if we did a tournament structure? Basic rules like submit by this date apply and so on.
Before we start everyone gets a rating where they're experience is at:
Mentors - level 10
Associate's - Level 7
Proteges - Level 1-6.
Then as Peter sets out the criteria for each round a random selection of Level 10's compete and so on down the line until we get to the finals then the best of each level competes until there's only 2 left. It could be a 10 vs. 4 or whatever. We can use equalizers or wildcards to even the playing field like only RAW submissions, non-competitors vote the winner etc.
There could also be smaller giveaways along the way. Winners of round 1 get a free month on the Crew and the like.
Best Unretouched image
Best different expressions on one client
i would think a handicap should be cool to have same levels
so if the competition is:
Shot with the best Squinch, The Protege need to have one shot - the BFAS needs two - Associates three - and Mentors wins if they show us a dog squinching :)
I've been trying to get my dogs to squlnch, but they are not cooperating. They just look sleepy ;)
Lol. Ive been torturing my dog into it too, but i just seem to piss her off. Lol. I swear shes now plotting against me.
Thats my DOG Squinching approach :)
How about one of your first headshots .. one that you took as a beginner in headshots and someone actually paid you for and compare to your best shot now..
but it should be the same person
Best expressions: out to lunch on purpose, sneaky, impersonating a Nordic viking, o face, sledge hammer to the balls... etc. Have fun with it.
Best camera height
Most confident and approachable
How about shot that results in the most disproportionate response on Headshot Crew? I will take a B&H gift card, please.
This is a great idea! I think best squinch and best jawline in one photograph or stuff like that. Trying to have more in one image because I feel it's going to be so hard to chose otherwise. ;)
a two parter : best crazy look followed by natural laugh
Best examples of the Episodic videos -
jaw, brow, nostrils, beef um up, Keeping those lights on, going full tilt, moving the noggin around, etc.
