As with all the things in my life that I love, photography came to me in a round about way. I served in the Air Force after 9/11 and at the same time I discovered a passion for acting. Just a few years later I found myself in New York earning my MFA in drama.
Whenever I'm out auditioning I find most head shots to be below par. In fact, I personally believe half of what's being passed as professional level head shots to be horrible. As a working actor I know my time and money are finite commodities not to be wasted.
I'd been shooting street style fashion for a few years, another round about path, and decided to get involved with head shots. I stumbled on Peter's PH2PRO group and joined immediately. The Headshot Crew is stronger than ever and I've grown as a photographer by leaps and bounds being a part of it. It's been a strange path but I wouldn't change a thing.
