This headshot was taken as part of a set of 'actor / model' portfolio pictures for my client to send to her agents. Having recently attended a studio lighting course in London with Gary Hill, I decided to try his method of lighting to see how it looks and works for me. It's very different from the way I usually shoot headshots. The key light was at 45 degrees camera left, the fill light straight ahead above camera at ¼ power of the key light, and the kicker camera right behind the model set at ½ power of the key light.
