WHERE ARE YOU FROM AND WHERE DO YOU LIVE NOW?

I was born and raised in New York City and lived in Washington Heights for 28 years.  My heritage is from the Dominican Republic and I was fortunate enough to be able to visit during the summer months.  Now I live and work in West Palm Beach, Florida which is a quick flight to the Dominican Republic.


HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN SHOOTING HEADSHOTS?

I have been photographing headshots for about 3 years but been a member of the crew for almost 6 years.


WHAT IS YOUR LIGHTING SETUP FOR HEADSHOTS?

For studio headshots, I currently use the original Peter Hurley Flexkit with two 1x3 and two 1x2 panels daylight balanced.  For location Headshots, I use 3 Adorama eVOLV 200 with the Glow EZ lock ARC Curved Strip Box.


TELL US ABOUT YOUR STUDIO.  DO YOU OWN IT? RENT IT? OR LIVE IN IT?

I currently rent the photography studio at a beautiful and amazing co-working space called The Studio 1016 which is located in West Palm Beach, FL.  The staff is amazing and are always willing to lend a helping hand, even as a stand-in model.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU LIKE TO SHOOT?

I love to photograph Fashion and Lifestyle, but in reality, I think it’s more about photographing people and making them feel like they are the only person that matters at that moment.


WHEN DID YOU FIRST DISCOVER PH AND THE HSC?

I first became aware of PH and the HSC at PHOTOPLUS, but did not really get involved till I started seeing Ryan Parker’s work. I followed his work and periodically saw glimpses of PH and HSC, which lead me into getting more involved in HSC.



HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO JOIN THE CREW ONCE YOU FOUND IT?

I joined almost immediately when I found out about the HSC and PH back in Photo October 2015 and signed up for the full membership in November 2015. Though I had to step away due because of personal reasons, once I was stable I made the decision to come back to it in June 2018. 


WHAT IS ONE THING PEOPLE WOULD NEVER GUESS ABOUT YOU?

I am trying to learn the Taino language. Which is the language of the indigenous people from the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Cuba.


WHAT IS ONE THING YOU WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT YOU?

I am a technologist, I love reading about different technologies, researching different technologies.  Just technology in general.  It makes me feel alive and I like to adopt new technologies when I can.
