PH2PRO community loses one of it's members.
Today I got the news that Simon St-Laurent had passed away on Sept 27th. I'm sorry I hadn't heard earlier and my deepest condolences go out to his friends and family.
Simon was a BFAS & Protege member of our community after having taken part in the history making Headshot Intensive that braved Superstorm Sandy a year ago. We stuck it out during the storm as best we could as the studio retained power after the storm blew through, but Simon got separated from the group and was stranded in Long Island City the second day.
Here's a shot I took of him that day:
Simon and I had been keeping in touch and were working on plans to get back together on his next NY trip. I now can only wish that we had made those plans sooner. I know how passionate Simon was towards headshot photography and I'm so glad I had the chance to work with him.
