WHERE ARE YOU FROM AND WHERE DO YOU LIVE NOW? 


Originally, I’m from Lithuania but for the past 18 years I have been living in Chicago.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN SHOOTING HEADSHOTS?

I started headshots when I joined the Headshot Crew in September 2018. I didn't even know how to use a camera (shutter speed, aperture, ISO etc…) because I never shot professionally. After 9 months of education, Peter made me a Headshot Crew Associate which was the BIGGEST surprise for me.

WHAT IS YOUR LIGHTING SETUP FOR HEADSHOTS?

Most of the time I shoot with a triangle setup along with parallel and men’s lighting.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR STUDIO. DO YOU OWN IT? RENT IT? OR LIVE IN IT?

In 2010 we open a beauty salon, so I had a great opportunity to build a photo studio there. Over the years studio became my second house because I spend more time there than at home.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU LIKE TO SHOOT?

I like to shoot everything that I find interesting, especially people when they have no idea they are being photographed. That way I find the pictures more interesting, natural, and realistic.

WHEN DID YOU FIRST DISCOVER PH AND THE HSC? 


In 2018 September I was looking for some YouTube videos on how to use strobes in a photoshoot because I decided to take photos of our salon clients after their color services, for Instagram. I accidentally bumped into the video where Peter Hurley was shooting a young model in the park. I was mesmerized by how he was directing the model, and I asked myself "Who is that wizard?" I would love to control models like that as well. So, I typed Peter Hurley, and guess what? The entire Headshot world opened in front of me. Right after that, I find out about the Headshot Crew which I joined without any hesitation. That was the smartest move in my life, with no regrets at all.

WHAT IS ONE THING PEOPLE WOULD NEVER GUESS ABOUT YOU?

One thing people would never guess about me – that I was a breakdancer.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT YOU?

My passion for photography started this journey and now I want you to be a part of it!
