WHERE ARE YOU FROM AND WHERE DO YOU LIVE NOW?

I have lived in Canada all my life. I was born in Calgary, AB and migrated west and now live in Whistler, BC.


HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN SHOOTING HEADSHOTS?

WHAT IS YOUR LIGHTING SETUP FOR HEADSHOTS?

I have been using the triangle setup with Einstein's. At Headshot Mania 2 I bought a flex kit, but covid hit immediately after and I haven't be able to work with them.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR STUDIO. DO YOU OWN IT? RENT IT? OR LIVE IN IT?

I have a home studio which unfortunately has been closed due to covid for a year.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU LIKE TO SHOOT?

Due to covid and no photoshoots, I turned my attention to post production. I've always enjoyed editing so I've been dabbling in a more creative artsy side of the photography process. You can see this apparent in my photos below.

WHEN DID YOU FIRST DISCOVER PH AND THE HSC?

I was eagerly waiting for Peter's book to be released (which was delayed a few times) because I heard he was the best headshot photographer. While reading his book, I decided to check out his website and noticed he had workshops. I signed up immediately and have been learning headshots ever since. I had never used any lighting before so this workshop was quite eye opening (and mind blowing).


HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO JOIN THE CREW ONCE YOU FOUND IT?

When I attended the intensive workshop in 2016, a few months of the HSC was included. I've been a member ever since.

WHAT IS ONE THING PEOPLE WOULD NEVER GUESS ABOUT YOU?

I started a clothing factory with two sewing machines and two employees (three if you count my mom who worked for free. Moms are the best). To make a long story short, along with my husband, we managed to grow the business into two facilities with over 280 employees. As manufacturing migrated overseas, we decided to retire and move to Whistler.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT YOU?

I wish people knew about and visited my facebook and instagram pages and clicked the like button. Haha Social Media is such an interesting/frustrating and time consuming game.
