My worlds colliding!

As you all know the Headshot Crewz was an amazing time for everyone involved. I had no clue that going to Bermuda was going to touch me in the way that it did. I've always kept sailing and photography separate for myself. it wasn't until recently that I began to photograph sailors and incorporate it into my portrait work. That trip sealed the deal with this video and I hope you all enjoy it. It's gaining a ton of traction right now and I'm so proud of the fact that I got to do what I love with the sport that shaped the life I now have. Hope you guys like what we did the day after my ridiculous round of golf.

Oh my gosh, I know so many bada$$ skater women I'd like to shoot like that... I need to get that going...and I have a journalist friend that wants to write a book about those women, she used to be a sports journalist for LA Times and walked away to write children's books, and I told her I'd shoot portraits for her book, and we both are spinning our wheels and not doing it... Peter, you inspire me, we need to GSD!!

send me some of that GSD thing you have, dude...

Wow! Amazing shots, especially loved the water dripping shot - very dramatic!

One can clearly see the devotion in your eyes with every word you say skipper. Once again you earned my highest admiration. Not as a photographer, not as a sportsman but as a fellow human being walking this earth with passion and drive!

It is so much fun seeing your passion and drive in this shoot (as well as all your other vids). The resulting images are so fantastic. Very inspiring.

Incredible. Very cool - gave me chills watching you work. Your drive and passion in everything you do is contagious.

Amazing when the talk comes from the heart (I like all the carbon, titanium, a lot of salt water and sailing with the speed of light)

Very cool. I am helping a friend cull and organize his photos of the 2013 finals in San Francisco, and teaching him how to put his video clips from that time period into a short video or two that he can show people.

He has snapshots of himself with Jimmy as well as some video from up on the stage at the awards ceremony. He also was allowed access to watch them put the boats away after the race.

I have hundreds of photos of the US and New Zealand boats, but I didn't have the access he had to get the BTS shots or the celebratory shots while they popped the champagne corks.

Awesome. One thing that everyone should keep by watching this:

There are no mistakes. When Peter missed the shot he intended to take, he didn't reset and go after it; He kept shooting, looking for another moment. What happened by 'accident' was, as Peter puts it, THE shot.

Remember: never attach yourself so much to an idea or a shot that you let 1000 better ones fly right by you!

Once again, Peter nails it with inspiration and entertainment. Great experience man, glad you got to have it!
