My passion is capturing the innate beauty in all things through the photographs I take. How did I get here, well it has been a very fascinating journey.
As the eldest of 4 children in rural Ontario, I grew up reliable, conscientious, overachieving, responsible and a perfectionist. There was a moment at about 18 when my right brain almost won with a Interior Design career BUT instead I proceeded down a very successful left brain path. I love the fact that I have succeeded in industries such as tourism, manufacturing, furniture retail, agriculture, playground safety and robotics. In retrospect, this path served me well as it provided stability for me and my now grown son but I knew that there was more that I was called to be/do.
I began to notice that there was something missing from my life; it was unbalanced and my creative side was starving, trying to break free!
This path of self discovery led to a course in 2012 with a personal life coach which ignited more discoveries about myself than I would have ever thought possible. The creativity and passion that was missing from my life appeared in the amazing shots I captured from the camera that I had left dormant for so long. It became apparent while working with a client to build her portfolio that I was destined for portrait / head shot photography. The images from our shoots were truly breathtaking and I discovered my natural ability. Through Kelby Training I have been learning from many of the industry leaders. I viewed Peter Hurley's training segment and was immediately drawn to his authenticity and photographic style. I have since immersed myself into intensive headshot training through which I continue to hone my skills.
I embrace the beauty and essence of every client and bring that to our sessions. Working with people in a co-creative process leads to amazing results!
