After serving four years active duty Marine Corps, Cory relocated to Los Angeles where he worked in the Hollywood Film Industry for 5 years. During that time, he also received his associates in Film Production through the Los Angeles Film School. Cory learned camera and lighting under some notable instructors such as Anthony B. Richmond (BSC, ASC), and David Armstrong (SAW I, II, & III).

In late 2016, Cory relocated his family to Dallas, Texas where he currently resides.
