I'm a portrait photographer from Chicago currently living in beautiful Sydney! I spent the last 7 awesome years working as staff photographer for the online clothing brand Threadless, and shooting headshots and creative portraits whenever I could.

Portraits are where my heart lies. If you put another human in front of my lens I'm incredibly happy. I find people infinitely diverse and fascinating and I love to meet and shoot photos of them.

I've worked with actors and models in various capacities as a photographer, producer, and stage manager. I know the importance of a great headshot and strive to create images that naturally depict you, and make an impact in the 1/10th a second you have to grab someone's eye.

I know how to make people feel comfortable, and to get that guard down to get the shot! Seriously. Making people look natural, confident, and approachable are always the key goals of any portrait session for me. My other key strength is photographic lighting which I am admittedly quite nerdy about.

Some fun facts about me:
Photography has allowed me to meet people like Barack Obama, Michael Jordan, Lil Wayne, and Method Man. I'm left-handed, have lived in 3 countries, and can recognize most songs I've ever heard within 1 second of playback. My work has been featured in various magazines, Strobist, Photoshelter, and VSCO a few times. I spend a lot of time watching Louis Theroux documentaries and reading as well.
