Dubai is in the house PEOPLE! Welcome Iain Mackenzie as our newest Associate Photographer!
After putting up with me for an entire week at Gulf Photo Plus 2013 I thought that Iain may of had enough of me. It turned out not to be the case and he patiently waited for each portfolio review as he got closer and closer to a portfolio that warranted Associate status. I couldn't have managed over there without his assistance and hospitality and he made my week something special. Not only did our time together solidify our friendship, it also upped his headshot game and I'm so proud of the work that he is producing. A well deserved SHABANG! to you my friend.

Saw this on the facebook. Congrats again!
Congratulations!
Thanks ladies and gents! It's a HUGE privilege and responsibility all at the same time! I really appreciate the trust that Peter has put in me in making me an Associate, we all know it's his brand's reputation that he puts on the line every time this happens.
I just want to put out this out there - I don't think this would have been possible without me actually having done the Intensive, actually meeting Peter, seeing how he works and what he is looking for when does his critiques. When I got home after that week at GPP, I went through ALL my headshots, and literally deleted hundreds of so-so pics. What I previously thought was good wasn't even close to cutting the mustard. Went onto my website and killed about 25 images, left myself with 10, and started to build up again.
So when Peter says our time together upped my headshot game, that's no small statement. I can guarantee you that without that time with Peter and the Intensive, I would not be an Associate today (hey, that's me....some of you might actually get it a lot quicker ;)...)
When Peter toasts previously approved images in your reviews (yes, it happened to me quite a few times, OK, more than a few), know that your best just got better. Your potential has been seen and is being nurtured.....take the blows and get better! You will!
Don't ever stop upping your game. Be super-critical of yourself, it WILL make you a better photographer.
(and no Peter....it takes more than a week of being in each other's faces to scare me off;)........)
Way to go Iain Mackenzie!
nice iain and congrats.
