I photographed Sarina last week for her marketing and social media. She is nearly completely blind! She had to hear my voice to find the camera direction. It was her goal to look beautiful, strong and confident to empower other blind people. She is also self defense trainer for blind people.
I made the lighting with two big umbrellas with LED light, a Sony A7r4 with 2,8/24-70. The image was supposed to be black & white, therefore I didn't use flash. Processing and retouching with Capture One. We had professional hair and make up. I see my main artwork in helping people with their expression.
(I'm a professional photographer in Germany for 30+ years.)

Thank you, Scott. Is the Hurley Style important for the rating? I judge a photograph by myself, my european experience and what I see in magazines for years. And I know that many of my clients use their portraits for 10+ years.

When I examine the winner pics I see, that the jury loves the slightly over retouched images mainly in Peter`s signature look.

I´ll try it the next time ;-).
