About Daniel

Although I spent 50 years as a financial professional photography was my first passion. It started at the age of twelve when my uncle gave him his first camera for Confirmation. As would happen one of my other uncles had an entire darkroom stored in the rafters of the family Garage. I restored that darkroom in a vacant space at my parental home and I was off to validate my passion.
Today I am working hard as a photographer and videographer. My education includes in addition to acquiring a certification as a public accountant “CPA” has also attained a bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University and master’s degree from New York University in Health planning and administration.
In April 2020 I received a Certification in Photography from the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center (Currently TILT Philadelphia).
During my photography career I have spent a lot of time with dance and theatrical photography particularly with Dancers. Collaborating with Dancers was a wonderful challenging experience because as artists they are continuously creating shapes, forms and designs with their bodies. This collaboration gave him a huge understanding of composition as it is exhibited in the frame of photograph.
I also challenged myself to understand Ansel Adams’ techniques regarding the Zone system of Black and White photography. Building a darkroom to understand the art of Adams. The result of which was being accepted by several juried exhibits In New Hope PA and Other Southeastern Pennsylvania venues. The PMPE has been a welcome sanctuary for me to find enthusiastic colleagues. exhibit my work and even on some occasions receive validation for my efforts.
Today all my work is digital and use Lightroom, Photoshop and all related Adobe products. It has been a joyous challenge to make the transition from the traditional darkroom platform to the digital one.
