My name is Mark and I'm a West Phoenix, AZ area based commercial photographer/retoucher, specializing in portraiture and headshot photography.

I grew up about 30 miles east of Los Angeles CA and studied photography and design at several local colleges in the eighties. My wife and I recently moved our respective businesses to Surprise, AZ and we just love the slower pace of life and the incredible people we’ve met since moving here.

I’ve had a love for photography since the age of twelve when my grandfather handed me a box of “old stuff” he’d retrieved from his basement. After that, I was hooked and would spend every spare moment working in a small darkroom in my families garage. (Much to the detriment of school)

In my twenties, I was an enthusiastic runner, cyclist, hiker and the father of two amazing boys but by my early thirties, I began experiencing an odd weakness in my legs which seemed to only grow worse with increased exercise. By the age of thirty-nine, I had been diagnosed with a form of Muscular Dystrophy. While I move much slower than I did at twenty, my work is all the more precious to me.
