Richard has worked with award-winning artists, writers, film-directors, and champion fighters. Richard recently won a portrait competition ran by the leading research center in facial expressions and emotion - The Paul Ekman Group. His writing and photography has been published in book, academic journal, and magazine, and newspaper format.

Before becoming a full-time photographer Richard worked in different capacities as a support worker for vulnerable adults and children. Richard holds a 1st Class BA (Hons) in Criminology and Psychology, as well as post-graduate training and research in Counseling skills and meditation.
