My interest in photography was sparked at an early age by my father - himself a passionate photographer, and founder of a camera club which he ran for forty years. He bought me my first SLR camera, an Olympus OM1, which I still treasure to this day. With my brother also taking up photography it wasn’t surprising that I studied Art and Photography at college and found my first job in the industry. What was surprising I suppose, was that I then moved into the IT industry and my love of photography lay dormant until 2004 when my son was born and I began the process of capturing those special moments of his first years. With the birth of my daughter in 2010, the calling became too strong to ignore and I decided to return to my first love, and set up my photography business.
I took the decision to retrain and update my skills with some of the leading photographers in the industry today. I am passionate about the quality I deliver to my customers, so in January 2011 I submitted my first panel for qualification and was delighted to receive my Licentiate - judged by some of the best photographers in the industry.
I am particularly passionate about food photography, no doubt born out of my love of gourmet food and all things chocolate but I work with a variety of industry sectors including property, and interior design as well as retail. I have considerable experience in pack shots and specialise in ghosted clothing shots. I have also trained with Peter Hurley who is arguably one of the most highly regarded head shot photographers in the world.
