I started taking pictures in junior high because my mother said i was not allowed to be a student only. I had to be a citizen of my community. That means I had to give back to my community in some way. I started shooting everything in my school and small town in Ohio. I got a job with the newspaper shooting crashes, fires, civic meetings/events, and everything else i could.

This editorial work solidified my style and approach to photography. As I progressed and grew I fell in love with headshot photography. Capturing expressions and people as they really are is thrilling.

Now I get paid to do what I love.
