Lauryn Ann Photography started off as a wish.
It was my birthday and because I cherish these days (I absolutely love celebrating birthdays!) I had decided that I wanted to start the 23rd year of my life off by hiking to the top of the highest point in Phoenix, Camelback Mountain. The hike up Camelback is beautiful. You are surrounded by breathtaking views of the city and the desert all at once and when you finally reach the top it's as if you have left Phoenix all together. It's quiet and peaceful and absolutely stunning. On this day, I took in the view and I let out a wish. I wished for this to be the year that I start my own business. I didn't have a master plan (shoot, I didn't even have a clue of what kind of business I wanted to start) I just thought if I put that statement out into the world it would somehow work itself out... and it did! I could go into great detail about how many business ideas I mulled over and how many interesting things started falling into place after I had announced my wish out loud, but I'm not sure this page is big enough. To put it simply, I have always loved to take photos and one day it clicked. Photography! The rest (as they say) is history. To this day, I continue to make one new wish every year on my birthday. My current wish is still in progress but I can already see it taking shape and I am positive it too will come true. Perhaps next year I'll wish for a complimentary trip around the world so that I can take photos from atop more life changing mountains... I wish :)

I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Theatre
I studied under world renowned photographer, Peter Hurley, in N.Y.C.
I have the most amazing, loving, supportive husband in the world that I love very much
Together we have a super intelligent puppy named Joey (my husband and I both agree that he used to be a human in his former life)
I love traveling, yoga, reading, French press coffee, and making wishes
