On a table in my parents' living room, there is a photograph of my grandfather. He passed away just before I was born, but this picture of him makes me feel like I knew him. The photograph was taken while he was stationed in the South Pacific during WWII. It perfectly captures his easy-going nature, and at the same time shows a man who commanded respect from those around him.
I’m sure there were a lot of photos taken of my Grandpa Charlie over the years, but the engaging power of this particular portrait will never fade. I specialize in portraits because my ultimate goal is to take photographs like this one: snapshots of single moments that portray more than just that—photographs that show the true character of their subjects and that are cherished forever.
It would be my pleasure to take yours.
