I began shooting in the early '80's, and i've been in love with this medium ever since. As a photographer I get to show people in a more pleasing and accentuated imagery. I don't see it as a job, but more as a service. When I am taking someones headshot, this is helping them get a better job, look better to prospective employers/directors/producers, or even helping them to build their image up as an artist. The challenge is not to simply light the subject, but to give them a foundation in which to build a larger career, or to simply honor a cherished loved one. I love what I do, and can't imagine anything else.
