I was born in Brazil and uprooted to NYC in my early teens. The culture shock that took place was extreme, to say the least. Having been a dancer all my young life I started envisioning my name in lights: this was New York City after all. Not long after arriving in America, I picked up my first camera and knew this was my calling. I started out wanting to be a photographer but decided I should broaden my horizons, so I earned a BFA in Film and Television at NYU. I was recruited by a top TV network in Brazil right after college but chose to stay in NY to start a career in film; that led me to television, where I've worked for the past 20 years as a freelance producer. As much as I have loved working in TV, though, I never gave up my dream of becoming a professional photographer. Ten years ago I started a photography business and it has been the biggest game changer ever. I realized photography is indeed my calling. Making people look their best is my gift. I'm a perfectionist and I won't rest until I get the shot that will make you look at yourself in an incredible way. If that's all you know about me, it's enough to say you know me very, very well.
