I started shooting seriously December 2011.
Since then I have shot weddings, headshots, fashion / beauty and portraits. I currently have a career in the IT field however, my passion is photography and would hope to make a living at it some day soon.
One of my goals is to be the premier headshot photographer for the Mississippi Gulf Coast and fan out into Louisiana, Alabama and Northern Florida. My second is to be able to travel for destination as well as fashion photography and wedding assignments.
I used to only shoot on location but as of December 2014 I started shooting more indoors. I purchased a home large enough to have an in home studio and am currently building that up.
One major challenge I am finding - is attracting new customers. I have advertised in two magazines with no luck. Hopefully as word gets around and I continue to work on my SEO on my website - I will be able to attract more customers. Until then - I just keep shooting whenever I get the chance. I even give myself projects so I can try out new tools (and by tools I mean TOYS) and skills.
