I've always loved photography... from reading Zoo Life and National Geographic as a kid, to my first experience shooting with an SLR. Once I developed my own film and made my own prints - I was hooked!

Fast forward a couple decades...
With the birth of our first child, I saw what it cost to have professional portraits taken and how very little experience and time went into capturing these moments. In addition, I didn't have as much control over what was being created and the end result was often very few prints for very large price tag!

We had a bonus room in our home, so I converted it to a studio. I was using mostly black or white muslin with a Canon Digital Rebel and an entry-level strobe/modeling kit.

I've gone through lots of equipment and still use our home as a studio, but will also set-up a studio at almost any location. I also shoot event photography, where I enjoy the candid shots and photojournalistic approach while incorporating traditional photography techniques to make sure you have a great variety of style to choose from.

Getting to know your clients and making a connection with them really makes a difference that can be seen in the images I create.
