FIND the one thing You Love Doing...And DO THAT THING!

My name is Alan Kirkpatrick and I am a professional photographer certified by the Professional Photographers of America. This "photography thing" started when I was 12 years old when my parents bought me a camera for Christmas. I did not ask for a camera, but they just thought it would make a good gift so they purchased a Pentax ME-Super with two lenses and a few rolls of film. The gadgetry of the camera was fun from the beginning and back in those days I would enjoy the feeling of anticipation I had while waiting for developed photos to come back from the lab. Sometimes I was totally amazed by the look of what I photographed. That excitement drove me to pursue this "photography thing" and learn this craft. I was hooked on photography from the very beginning! To this very day, the spark from the joy I had with my first camera still fuels my enthusiasm to create beautiful images.
