PDN PhotoPlus Expo, Fstoppers & HURLEYPRO

Every year I'm always looking forward to the end of October. While the kids are getting ready for Halloween, I'm gearing up to get my fill of photographic inspiration. The PDN PhotoPlus Expo is something I've never missed and this year is no different in that regard. However, it's a heck of a lot different for me in the fact that this is the first year that I've been asked to speak at the event.

Since I picked up a camera in 2000 every October I've been headed into the halls of the Jacob Javits Center to see the newest gear and hear from photographers that inspire me. Now I've been given the opportunity to speak back to those that feel the same way. I couldn't be more excited. I'm hoping I can give back a little inspiration that the expo has given me over the years. My class is called Illuminating the Face and will be on Saturday at 1:30pm in room IE12. Get yourself in there PEOPLE!!!

I hope that many can make it and I'll also be celebrating that evening with the Fstoppers crew. Last year we threw a monster party at my studio and this year we decided to do it again! However, I have a lot on my plate this year, so we decided to rent a studio for the event. We'll be hosting it Saturday night at The Highline Loft 508 W 26th St 5th Fl from 8pm to 12am.

Last year we threw an incredible party at Peter Hurley’s studio in NYC. This year we have rented a larger space on the HighLine in NYC which is walking distance from the expo and we plan to do it even bigger. Due to the extremely high cost of this rental and staff we are forced to have a $20 cover but that will include all of the beer/wine/liquor/pizza you can consume. Like last year this party will be extremely casual so dress however you like and bring your friends. Keep in mind that this room will be capped at around 400 people and once it gets to that point we will be forced to create a line to get in so please show up early.
