WHERE ARE YOU FROM AND WHERE DO YOU LIVE NOW?

I am from a small town near Sofia, Bulgaria. I moved to Sofia for my studies and lived there for 12 years, then I decided to move to London, UK where I spent 6 years and where my photography journey actually started and now I am back in Sofia.


HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN SHOOTING HEADSHOTS?

I’ve been shooting headshots since 2017.

WHAT IS YOUR LIGHTING SETUP FOR HEADSHOTS?

I use LED lights and triangle set up for both men and women

TELL US ABOUT YOUR STUDIO. DO YOU OWN IT? RENT IT? OR LIVE IN IT?

My first studio in London was my living room but after a few months, I moved to a shared studio with another photographer in a much better location in London where I stayed until I moved back to Bulgaria in 2020. Now I’m renting my studio in Sofia that I made up from scratch. I wanted a place with a great location but a bit away from city noise that I can make up to my vision and when I saw it I knew that’s the one.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU LIKE TO SHOOT?

I’m shooting portraits as well but love shooting landscapes and rock concerts just for fun.

WHEN DID YOU FIRST DISCOVER PH AND THE HSC?

I randomly decided to become a photographer after a long stressful day at my day job and googled photography courses in London (I was living there at the time) and after starting one online course we got to the module on portraits and had to present portrait/headshot for our assignment. I googled best portrait photographers and came across “It’s all about the jaw” video on YouTube and I was amazed by this guy showing amazing photos with what seemed then not much effort in the making :)


HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO JOIN THE CREW ONCE YOU FOUND IT?

After I watched all of Peter’s videos on YouTube I checked the Crew and it probably took me an hour to make the decision to join.

WHAT IS ONE THING PEOPLE WOULD NEVER GUESS ABOUT YOU?

I love gardening. I can’t live without flowers and greens around me, I need the connection with the earth, it’s a huge stress relief.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT YOU? I don’t like small talks (I believe you can always find something meaningful to talk about)
