This is Srinivas and the mark on his forehead is a tilaka, for those not familiar with Hindu religion.

I appreciate the tilaka, but should it be removed for a HSC portfolio? (would it be offensive, culturally insensitive, to have it removed in post? not for the client, but for your portfolio).
Yes, I was interested to hear some others perspective. I figured, this is how he arrives for business so it's appropriate.
I'd be inclined to keep it, for the same reason you stated.
And, since it's not my culture, I'd just ask the client so I'm not doing something in ignorance.
