Walter has worked as a part-time and full-time professional photographer since graduating in 1989 from the Art Institute of Seattle. Throughout his photography career, he has specialized in high schools, weddings, events, editorial/commercial, and headshot portraits. He specializes in actors, dancers, models, and business professionals' headshots. In 2009, after a successful career as a graphic designer for various civil engineering firms and a national and international figure skating choreographer, Walter opened AfallaStudios LLC.

Back in 2010, Walter became inspired by Peter Hurley. In 2016, Walter redirected his focus to creating high-quality, professional headshot photography for the entertainment industry and various businesses of all sizes. He achieved his BFAS by attending the Houston Headshot Intensive and ultimately aspires to be a headshot mentor for those willing to learn and grow.

Today, Walter creates various headshot styles in the studio and on-location environmental headshots. Most of his clients are in the civil engineering industry, in which he incorporates images for their government pursuits valued at over $100M in contract fees. Aside from his photography services, Walter is a contract creative director for some of the leading Fortune 500 engineering firms across the nation. His corporate clients include SNC Lavalin Group, Atkins Engineers, Sony, Ebby Halliday, Owen & Fazio, Idea Planet, DFW International Airport, American Physical Therapy Association, AvodahMed, United States Figure Skating, and the International Skating Union.
