Mr. Henry has been a photographer since 1983, but has expanded his portfolio with digital photography since 2007. He has received several awards for his photography, has been published in several newspapers, and in an international trade magazine. While there are many paths a photographer may take, Mr. Henry has chosen to spend his time and efforts promoting area small businesses through his photography, as well as teaching his art to other people who are interested in learning.
In 2009 Mr. Henry founded The Frederick County Photography Club, an active group meets twice a month which allows members to learn, share or try all things photography. At inception, there were only two members, but since then the club has over 90 members.
In addition, Mr. Henry has been volunteering his time and skills to help non-profits, including Habitat for Humanity, Goodwill Industries, and a women’s shelter, by providing holiday photos free of charge. He also participated in a local farms-to table initiative by donating his services to capture images for a local restaurant. He then supplied photos of the prepared food to several farms for them to see the final product. He has done several weddings gratis for low-income couples who are unable to pay for quality photographs of their special day.
Currently, he is assisting our group with by capturing images of speakers at our weekly meetings. His unique approach in helping our group grow is invaluable. He is also finishing up with Fall family portraits, and preparing for holiday parties and family portraits.
Mr. Henry has teamed up with a real estate stager, and together they are helping realtors with their listing by staging and photographing listings. 100% of his photographed listings get a prospective buyer within 7 days.
