I've won twenty Emmy Awards in photography and editing over the past twelve years. While most of my work is through my video production company, I love the time set aside for headshot sessions. Capturing a marketable image for my client is my top priority. However, making people look cool in their photos is pretty fun by itself. As a bonus, once our session is over, your image goes into a portfolio that I use for my video commercial work as well.  I show these headshots to my corporate clients for them to choose an actor or model. I don't take a commission for this service.

I graduated from Robert Morris University in 1994 with a commercial pilot’s certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings. On the path to fulfilling my childhood dream, I was accepted into the Niagara Falls Air National Guard pilot program. I was one chest x-ray away from flying the T-38 and KC-135 Stratotanker. Unfortunately, an injury to a vertebra in my back, would prevent me from flying any aircraft with ejection seats.
I moved back to Pittsburgh, faced with the choice of flight instructing on single engine aircraft or freelance photography.  I flew for a while and then my friend, neighbor and eventual mentor, hired me as a photographer for NBC. 1 year later, in 1996, I moved to Arizona and embraced photography as my new career.  My style began to evolve - angles, creative lighting and shallow depth of field helped me win 20 Emmy Awards and Arizona’s Associated Press’ top photographer three years in a row (2004-2007).
I’m now focusing more on my headshots and commercial photography.  However, engagement photos and weddings are a challenge that I accept on a limited basis.
I live with my wife and children in Arizona. When I’m not taking photographs, I love to ski, scuba dive, run on the beach and take pictures of my family. But if you ever catch me staring towards the sky, I’m probably watching a jet streak by - trying to figure out if it’s a MD-80 or DC-9.
