My passion for photography began while in high school when a friend invited me into the darkroom. I nearly didn't graduate because I spent so much time shooting pictures, developing film, and making prints for the school newspaper and yearbook that I cut a lot of classes. In college I studied computer science and ultimately made that my career, but my love of photography never waned. In 2011 I decided to transition to photography full time and that's the chapter I'm in right now.
Prior to becoming a professional photographer, I worked for 30 years as a software architect. I have consulted for ABC Television, Bombardier, DaimlerChrysler, IBM, New York Power Authority, the State of Vermont, and The Art Institute of Chicago to name a few. I am an expert web developer and the author of MapsAlive, a web application for displaying photographs from interactive maps and diagrams.
