Hmm, about me. How do I even start? I went to school for Architectural Engineering, and I would say that is where my passion for seeing things really began. Architecture, to me, is all about the visual, whether it's the exterior of a building, the carpet, the walls, the furniture. It's about what you see. Fast forward many years, and I'm currently working as a Structural Designer. I draw concrete and steel buildings, mostly industrial types of buildings. Not a lot of cool visual things happening there. Some, but not a lot. I still have that passion for architecture though, and I think that's what fuels my passion for photography. I like visuals. I like to look at things in a different way. I'm far from being an Ansel Adams, or (insert any other well known photographer's name here) but I know what I like when I see it, and that's what I try to do with my photography - share the things I see. Does it always turn out the way I envisioned it? No. But sometimes it does, and sometimes an amazing picture comes out of nowhere by complete accident.

My dad was an art teacher at the high-school I attended. He also taught the photography class. Unfortunately, for some reason, I never took any classes of his. I guess I had enough exposure at home, at least with the art. Photography, not so much, but I've always had a camera for as long as I remember. Never a great camera, just standard 35mm film cameras. I did have a polaroid as well, and still have it. However my hobby really started happening a couple of years ago with our purchase of a Canon DSLR. I was excited, but had no idea what I was doing. Always having a point and shoot camera, I never had to think about settings too often. I'm still learning when to do this, when to do that, what setting is good for this condition, on and on. But I think that fuels my passion as well, I love to explore and learn new things.
