I was always been intrigued by images that spoke to you some how. So my love for photography started at a very young age. While living overseas in the early 8o's it became a stronger desire and at the age of 16 I received one of my most favorite Christmas presents ever...it was a Canon AE-1 (my 1st SLR) I call it the gift that keeps on giving. About 15 years went by and I got another Canon SLR for a birthday gift and was thrilled that it had a built in flash and I didn't have to wind the film! For years I shot for family,friends and clients (I'm a hairstylist as well) and in 2008 I received another birthday present...my 1st DSLR. It was a long time coming! I got a Nikon this time only because I really liked the way it felt in my hands. Since then I have purchased two more and have become very busy doing more and more photography every year. I am self taught for the most part and have learned through trial and error over the years. I am constantly looking to improve my skills and evolve with today's technology. I use natural light when shooting portraits now (sometimes use a fill flash or reflectors) but would love to do some studio work. I was told recently by the father of one of my brides that he could tell that I love what I do and that out of all the checks he had written he felt the best about the one he wrote to me. I'm not going to lie...that felt really good! :*)
