JUDGES are not paid. They receive a meal and a gift.

Judging is done by marking numerical score cards.

I'm thinking about doing this. I think it might be good for networking. Why was it scary?

It's tough judging people who are dreaming to become a model or an actor. Such a small percentage of the population can do it and these people pay to go to this thing. Nobody pre-evaluates whether or not they can actually do it. I wanted to be supportive of everyone and not crush their dreams, but out of the entire convention only a few could actually work. It's a money maker, that's all. Glad I didn't get paid to do it.
