All 10,000 Headshot Photographers that feedback on shots post here!

I'll check out your setup if you've done any test shooting. Post a shot you took with the setup you'll be using on Wednesday plus a BTS shot of the lights and I'll work with you to tweak it if need be. Happy to look and Zoom privately or do a group Zoom to sort everyone out.

my temporary set up in my garage as Im in the middle of moving house . Ive moved everything further apart than I normally do to allow for distancing . Im now shooting about 105mm rather than 85mm. the blue tape is the client position . Forget the reflector id just dumped that out the way . I had to wait until dark as the sun goes down this side of the house so all lighting is from the strobes - zero ambient . forget my stupid angry face I was trying to dial in my settings . I think the gray is pretty close but may move the lights in close and dial them down . depends on what the space is like when I get there and of course what other lighting is there .

so glad I did this - I haven't been able to shoot for months and am still learning so much and was able to correct before yesterdays big day . Ill guess Ill find out once I post on in HSOW hahaha. Thanks Peter

My wife, Patricia.

Setup:
2x Flashpoint AD 600Pro TTL at 1/32 power (front) with 2 Softbox Stripes
1x Flashpoint AD200 at 1/32 power with big octabox overhead for hair light and fill
1 lastolite filler at chest height.
2 V-Flats white side for bouncing and fill
Pure White paper backdrop.

Camera:
Canon EOSR with 70-200 f/2.8 IS II @ 140mm f/9 1/200 ISO 200 WB in Flash mode (In LR it gave me 6100)

I asked her to sit instead of standing because I don't have enough ceiling clearance for the top light. On Wed. I will scale the set to the standing position.

p.s. Once I saw it on the computer I noticed 1/3 to 2/3 of a stop underexposed.

Comments please?

I'll be going through all of these on the CrewCast today PEOPLE!!!

Thanks Peter Hurley for reviewing this for us.

This image is SOC but is the JPEG version I uploaded to SMP.

Canon EOS R
Canon EF 28-300 - @135mm focus length
ISO 250
1/160 sec at f/6.3
Camera settings - Neutral and K-4600

Tethering into LR with preset to turn on lens calibration & remove chromatic aberration. This removed any vignetting caused by this particular lens

FLEX daylight mats all @ 30%

Forgot to mention my backdrop for tomorrow is a white X-drop. Was being cleaned when I did the testing

I find people have closer to ideal posture with their feet “shoulder width apart”
And the better balance and fluidity and breathing in this . . . enables expression ease

Here is the SOOC of what I got yesterday with my Tom Hanks (ish) looking uncle.

And here is his daughter in the setup I used. I don't have a good one from the client's perspective, unfortunately.

Here is my setup....disregard c stand in middle of setup...?

I don't own the flex kit. So using the big soft box as key light and the small as fill

Took this just now. Having issues w queued images in uploader. Texting josh now about it!

Just finished our test on site, let me know if anything should be adjusted here. Shot with strobes, one strip on left with a grid and one 3 ft oct soft box on right , silver reflector under chin.

Really nice lighting
I’m seeing very slight magenta in the gray background, if you’re as cursed with perfectionism as I.
People are going to be lucky to get headshots with you!

Straight out of camera today on a session, picked a random image
