Cool post! Do you think one of your people over at FEISOL could give us a Google+ hangout presentation about their different product lines. Seems a little confusing and I'm not really sure what to buy.
You and that damned Feisol! I JUST got my Gitzo and RRS ballhead last February after, oh I don't know; TEN years of drooling! Now I feel like I'm driving a Yugo every time I shoot! Lol. I'm really stuck here; if I sell it, my wife will pound me with "I told you so's" fro weeks :D
A ton of guys on here are using them. Maybe they can chime in. I don't talk to them much at all, just met the president of the company at photo plus last year. Yeah, couldn't deal with my Gitzo. The center column groove locks it in and having a free center column is so much better. Slap that thing on Ebay or Craigslist and go Feisol!
PH, if you get a chance, could you measure the diameter of the top plate where the ball head threads down? I want to see if the footprint of my ball head will be a good fit for the Feisol.
It should be listed in their specs Chawn. By the way your T shirt went out yesterday! Sorry for the delay on that. Glad to hear they responded quickly Mike, nice to know. No idea why my shot is in there twice, guy must have spaced out or something.
I really like the center column. I think I'm going try to have my cake & eat it too. I'm totally in love with the Gitzo on location and doing landscapes, but I'm totally over it when I have to adjust for peoples' heights in the studio.
