About Thomas

I started taking photos about 8th grade when I joined a photography club at school. Some of my best shots early on are from a 2 week trip to Japan in the summer of 2002 taken with disposable cameras. In high school I started taking graphic arts classes focusing on the editing side of the trade.
It wasn't until college that my interest in photography really got sparked again. I started out with an Olympus Ultra Zoom camera and have since started using a Canon DSLR. My main genre is landscapes and nature as I am an avid outdoors men, enjoying many different activities to include: hiking, fishing, camping, etc.
My goal is to learn to work with people better, in landscapes there isn't much to direct and I am mostly at the mercy of Mother Nature. I feel that this is where I lack the most skill and need to improve. I look for any advice/criticism anyone is willing to share.
