My mantra goes something like this - listen to your heart and follow your dreams. Therefore, after a successful (and boring) career in healthcare, I followed my heart and began an intensive study of photography. I have been fortunate to be trained by some of the best photographers in the world. From an early age I wanted to be a photographer but simply could not find the path. However, once I became determined to listen to my heart and follow my dreams, I clearly saw the path before me! To say I love photography is an understatement- my heart sings every time I push the shutter! I sometimes gasp in amazement at the beautiful images I create by bringing out the best in my client. One of my greatest talents is my ability to get nervous clients to relax in front of the camera. When I work with editorial, corporate or commercial assignments, I take a sometimes vague idea and bring an abundance of creativity to the project to the amazement of my client. My work ethic is simple- tell me what you need and when you need it. I will complete your project on time, within budget and exceed your expectations!
One of my pet peeves is poor quality customer service. I can sum up my customer service with four words- My clients come first (period). Therefore, I return calls and emails within twenty four hours. I respect my clients and turn OFF my cell phone during a session. I will not put you on hold to take another call because YOU are the most important person in the world if I am currently talking with you (in person or on the phone). I use my cell phone as a way for my clients to contact me before a session if they are going to be late or need directions. Any other time the best way to contact me is via my office number 203-364-1592. My email is info@cynthiamcintyre.com. I monitor my emails and voice mails regularly so I am easily accessible to current and future clients. I offer a no risk guarantee in that if you are not pleased with your portraits, albums, etc. I will do what I need to achieve your satisfaction- at no cost to you. No arguments. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder- what matters is how YOU see the portrait. If you are not pleased with your portrait, we will make it right.
I have an appreciation for the craft and technical aspects of photography and am constantly challenging myself to try new lighting techniques and photographic styles. I consider myself a generalist photographer in that I am talented at photographing everything from newborns and families to architecture and product photography, business , model or acting headshots to event photography ( and yes, weddings!) Regardless of the type of photography, I believe a session should be fun. One of the best compliments I can receive is hearing a client say “that was fun” as he or she walks away from a session with me.
The loves of my life include my wonderfully patient and supportive husband of 36 years, my gifted son and his adorable wife and my brilliant daughter and her talented fiancé. Of course I can’t forget my diva cat, Libby or crazy cat, Jake and last, but far from least, my cute and cuddly Yorkie, Coco.
My mantra….
Listen to your heart, follow your dreams,
And let no one tell you what you're capable of.
Push the limits, bend the rules,
And enjoy every minute of it.
Laugh at everything,
Live for as long as you can.
Love all, but trust few.
Believe in yourself, and never lose faith in others
Settle for nothing but the best,
And give 110% in everything you do.
Life is a gift, live Life to its fullest,
And have a reason for everything -even if it's totally insane.
Find YOUR purpose in life, and LIVE it!
