I have been an avid photographer all of my life. After a long career as a computer scientist and then an HR executive, I finally have time to focus on photography as a way of life. For the past four years I have been a semi-professional sports and performance photographer operating in Loudoun County, VA, just outside of Washington, DC. During that time, I have also begun to develop skills in portrait photography, but I have a ton to learn.

After photographing a local couple and their beloved dog, I realized the importance of photography when their pet passed away unexpectedly shortly thereafter. The images we made that day captured a special relationship and a moment in time that will never come again.
