About Scott

Well, for the last 34 years I have been serving in the Air Force on active duty or most recently as a Government contractor supporting the US government entities in some capacity. My area of expertise is physical security, antiterrorism, and counterterrorism. I am currently supporting a government contract with US Fish and Wildlife service providing security assessments of all Wildlife Refuge and Hatcheries across the country. I also teach three online graduate courses in the field of security for the Center For Development of Security Excellence providing advance education for government employees.

So you ask, how's does the photography come into play...

My first camera was a cardboard box with mirrors...one click and rush to the darkroom to process. I was about 10 years old, my Dad was a Professional Photographer and owned his own Camera store in Amherst, MA. With my Dad's busy schedule, my only quality time with him was in the darkroom or at the camera store...definitely where my passion for photography began.

With my military travels, I have been fortunate to work on the side as a freelance photographer, shooting everything from Major League Baseball, National Football League, PGA, F1 and MOTO GP racing overseas, to PRCA rodeo photography. Every February, I am contracted as the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Photographer. I have been fortunate to have been published, have images licensed and most recently licensed one year to Wrangler for a 1 year, National Ad campaign.

My goal has always been to have my own studio and of course, close the chapter on working/supporting government services. I believe that ending is close and I am excited to have my own place and be my own boss...

I have always had a passion for sports photography and only since my father passed, did I start to see the human expression and enjoy seeing it through the lens. It has now come to be one of my favorite genre to photograph, people! I think headshot/portrait photography captures the greatest moments of expression and it is what I would like to build my business on...

Anyways, I need to get back to learning...thanks to all of you who help in facilitating that education...
