About Miroslav

Born in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria in 1984, after graduating from school I moved to Germany to start a studies in linguistics and ethnology in 2004. In 2007 I went for an year of exchange studies in Gothenburg, Sweden. That's where I bought my first digital camera (a Canon 350D with a kit lens) and I felt like I found something I was hiding deep inside me, as if I had remembered something from my childhood. And in fact, few years later, I did - it was a moment in my grandfather's house - him closely listening to the news on the radio, me playing with my matchbox cars on the floor, he turned to me and said, "If you ever get the chance, get into photography."

Learning and using the language of photography I aim to present aspects of modern life and culture. One of my main goals as a photographer is to capture the key moments of an event and convey its authenticity and the surrounding atmosphere.

Apart from being an active contributor to Alamy Live News, NurPhoto and Badische Zeitung, I have worked with news agencies such as Demotix/Corbis, PIA News Agency and BulFoto Agency. Some of my recent work has been featured in news articles in The Guardian, Sports Illustrated and NBC News. Check my website for those.

During my career as a photographer, I have learned to value the needs of my clients and meet all of their respective requirements while covering news, sports and entertainment events.

I constantly strive to improve my skills and to deliver imagery of the highest quality for my clients, so always appreciate and value your feedback on my work.

I am currently based in Freiburg, Southwest Germany.
